Information About Our Server Hosting Services

Millennia® provide hosting services for businesses to be able to provide a web presence without having to manage their own server infrastructure or high speed Internet connectivity, which can be very costly. We specialise in the mid to high end of the market in that we provide full server services as opposed to general website hosting. We have customers that supply web hosting services to the lower end of the market and are happy to direct any enquiries to these customers for those interested in basic web hosting, who may not require the resources of a full server system. All servers are granted full admin/root access with no restrictions on what software is loaded. We can also rent various software to you and include it in your monthly rental so you do not have the large up front cost of purchasing it yourself - this is especially useful for short term projects as the minimum rental term is just one month.

We offer both physical and virtual servers depending on your requirements. Such is the take up of virtual servers we now find that most of our business is directed at this form of hosting, and as a VMWare Service Provider we can offer virtual servers that match or exceed their physical counterparts in a much more flexible and cost efficient way.

We have a substantial hosting infrastructure at our disposal, with multiple separate datacentre locations to provide diverse location and connectivity. This also allows us to offer regional disaster recovery for your critical business systems. We also supply a hosted DNS service with servers in diverse geographical locations to maintain reliability. Each hosted DNS customer has their own web interface to administer their own domains.

If uptime is critical to your application we can provide help with implementing clustering and load balanced solutions. We utilise Zeus ZXTM load balancers to balance both physical and virtual environments, and can also offer global load balancing to an alternate site to provide automatic disaster recovery. Our virtualised servers can be configured with high availability and with the new release of VMWare fully fault tolerant with zero downtime should the underlying hardware server fail.

Naturally we cater for SSL products, we are ISP partners for Thawte, and we offer a discount on their SSL certificates.

There are qualified engineers to look after your servers, including a DBA for SQL Server installations, so you do not have to worry that once your server is installed you will be left to cope with any problems you may have with it.

All systems are continuously monitored and a proactive fix service is available to deal with any flagged errors that may develop into more serious faults. We have a patch management server that keeps the servers up to date (Microsoft Windows / Redhat Linux OS only) without automatically downloading the latest patches when they are released, allowing any issues with the patches to be discovered and fixed before being applied to your servers. Anti-virus software is available (ESET NOD32) but you can also choose to load your own favourite software.
